SUNWARD ESTIMATE PROCESS

How Sunward Works

A clear estimate process starts with transparency. Here is what happens after you submit a Sunward project request, what you should expect from the installer conversation, and what to verify before signing a contract.

What Sunward does

Sunward Impact Windows & Doors is a South Florida homeowner resource and estimate-request service. We help homeowners organize project details, understand common product and permit questions, and request an estimate for impact windows, entry doors or sliding glass doors.

Depending on the location and project, installation and fulfillment may involve participating local installation partners. Sunward is not presented as the manufacturer of every product shown or discussed on this site.

1. Tell us about the project

Submit the property ZIP code, project type, contact information and rough timeline. The request can cover a few windows, a whole-home window-and-door package, entry/French doors or sliding glass doors. You do not need final measurements to start.

2. The project is matched for follow-up

The request is reviewed so follow-up can focus on the property location and project category. A participating installation partner may contact you to discuss the openings, product options, permitting and next steps. Product availability and contractor coverage vary by location.

3. Get a measured proposal before deciding

Impact products are opening-specific. Before signing anything, expect a serious proposal to identify the manufacturer, product series, opening count, glass/finish, permit responsibilities, installation scope, warranty and price. For Broward and Miami-Dade projects, ask specifically about HVHZ product approval and design pressures.

What Sunward does not promise

  • We do not guarantee that every request will receive multiple contractor quotes.
  • We do not guarantee a particular product, price, financing approval or installation date.
  • We do not guarantee an insurance discount or a specific change in property value.
  • We do not recommend signing a contract based only on an advertised monthly payment or “per window” price.

How to protect yourself when comparing installers

  1. Verify the company and contractor license appropriate to the work.
  2. Ask for the exact manufacturer, product series and approval number.
  3. Confirm who pulls and closes the permit.
  4. Read the cancellation, deposit and payment terms.
  5. Get repair/finish allowances in writing.
  6. Confirm warranty responsibility for both product and labor.
  7. Do not rely on a promised insurance discount without asking your insurer.

Use the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation to verify a contractor license and status before signing a contract.

Why we publish local planning guides

South Florida is not one uniform market. Broward and Miami-Dade are in the HVHZ, Palm Beach County is outside the HVHZ, and each city has its own permit intake process. Condo associations, gated communities, high-rise access and older opening conditions can also change project scope. Our city pages are designed to help homeowners ask better questions before the sales appointment.
